The Center for Continuing Education at Southern Technical University organized a training course on the basics of firefighting and knowledge of available methods for extinguishing them. The course, in which trainer Haider Adnan Ghaleb lectured, included topics including the definition of fires, the fire triangle, the mechanism of classifying fires according to international standards, in addition to methods of extinguishing fires, as well as a discussion of extinguishing theory. The course, which was attended by full-time university students and graduates, aims to scientifically understand fire, the elements through which it is produced, and the methods that must be trained in that contribute to reducing losses resulting from fires, as well as introducing the types of fire extinguishers and how to use them.
