In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(And do not say of those who are killed in the cause of God that they are dead. Rather, they are alive, but you do not perceive it.)
God Almighty has spoken the truth
With hearts overwhelmed by pain, and souls enveloped in deep sadness, the presidency, affiliates, and students of the Southern Technical University extend their deepest condolences and sympathy to His Eminence the Great Ayatollah Imam Al-Hujjah bin Al-Hassan, may God hasten his honorable appearance, and to His Eminence the Supreme Authority, Imam Sayyid Ali Al-Sistani, may his shadow be long, and to all religious authorities, to the entire Islamic nation, and to all the free people in the world, with the martyrdom of the Imam, the Leader, His Eminence the Great Ayatollah, the Authority Sayyed Ali Al-Husseini. Khamenei (may God be pleased with him), whose intellectual, spiritual and political presence constituted a prominent milestone in the process of contemporary Islamic awareness.
This great tragedy represents not only the loss of a leadership figure, but the departure of an entire school of patience, steadfastness, and defense of the nation’s issues, a school that was coupled with firm positions and a deep belief in the values of justice, dignity, and rejection of injustice.
The late Imam was a constant voice in times of turmoil, and a symbol of the will that does not break in the face of challenges. He left an impact that the years will not erase in the conscience of peoples who believe in their just causes.
As the university recalls this painful moment, it emphasizes that the martyrs do not disappear from the conscience of the nation, but rather their presence turns into renewed moral energy from which generations draw inspiration from the meanings of sacrifice, responsibility, and commitment to lofty principles.
History has taught us that pure blood shed for the sake of great values becomes beacons of guidance that continue to light the way for subsequent generations.
We ask God Almighty to cover the deceased with His vast mercy, and to make him dwell in His spacious gardens with the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous, and to inspire the nation patience and solace, and that the values he carried and defended remain alive in the conscience and awareness of the peoples.
To Him we belong, and to Him we shall return
