The Continuing Education Center at Southern Technical University organized a training course on Professional Project Management (PMP).
The course in which Marwa Musa Atwan, a lecturer at the Technical Administrative College in Basra, lectured, included the project concept and specifications, a general introduction to project management, as well as the role of the project manager, forecasting the sources and resources needed to achieve its goals, managing its sources, in addition to managing schedules and quality management. The course, which was attended by managers and engineers from oil companies, aims to build basic knowledge of project management and the mechanism for forming the structure through which various projects can be managed. At its conclusion, the course concluded with the importance of the project manager possessing skills including planning, risk distribution, budget preparation, and team management.
