Within the framework of the activities of the Development Division of the Continuing Education Center at Southern Technical University, a new training course was launched entitled “Occupational Safety in Workshops and Laboratory Management,” targeting workers in the university’s workshops and laboratories. The course aims to raise awareness of the importance of occupational safety and provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain a safe work environment, in line with global safety standards. The course included basic topics on how to avoid occupational risks, mechanisms for dealing with hazardous materials, preventive measures in different work environments, as well as how to manage risks effectively in workshops and laboratories. The importance of safety in operation and maintenance, and ways to use equipment correctly and safely, were also discussed. The course witnessed great interaction from the participants, which reflects their awareness of the importance of these training programs in enhancing the work environment and preserving the health and safety of workers. Everyone present in the session Mr. Ahmed Abdel Nabi Sadiq , specialist in the field of occupational safety, and Mr. Zaid Abdul Karim Abdul Razzaq He, in turn, gave lectures on safety applications in workshops and laboratories. This course comes within the framework of Southern Technical University’s endeavor to provide a safe work environment for all its members, and to promote a culture of occupational safety among employees.
