Within the framework of the efforts of the Southern Technical University to enhance its role in developing society and empowering young energies to achieve a promising future, the Continuing Education Center organized a workshop entitled: “Skills Required in the Labor Market.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Maher Talib Abdel Zahra, Director of the Continuing Education Center and responsible for the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division. The workshop focused on reviewing the basic skills required by the modern labor market, and how to obtain accredited certificates for these skills, in addition to discussing current job requirements and their relationship to soft skills and technical skills. The workshop also addressed the importance of measuring professional competence based on employers’ standards. The doctor concluded the workshop by providing practical solutions and comprehensive guidance advice, aiming to enable participants to successfully meet the requirements of the labor market and keep pace with its developments.
