The Technical College of Engineering, Basra, organized a workshop entitled Investing reliable resources in the environment and climate to develop graduation projects in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education at the Presidency of the Southern Technical University, presented by the director of the center, Dr. Maher Talib Abdel Zahra, and engineer Fatima Zaki Sadoun, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Laila Blasim Hashem, and the teaching staff. The workshop discussed the available electronic resources that contain data and reports about climate, which can be invested in graduation projects in various specializations. These sites included maps, tables, and illustrative diagrams displaying the current and future situation with the aim of finding innovative solutions to local problems. The workshop addressed the concept of the artificial photosynthesis process and how to apply it in a project to manufacture a nanomaterial (photocatalyst) with high efficiency and economic feasibility, for investment in generating renewable energy.
