About the Unit
Detailed description and responsibilities
The University Classifications Unit is one of the units concerned with monitoring and improving the institution’s academic and research position within local and international university classifications, by collecting and analyzing data and indicators approved in the classifications, following up on the requirements and standards of the classified bodies, and working to enhance the strengths and address the weaknesses in a way that contributes to raising the institution’s level and improving its academic and scientific presence. It is also concerned with documenting academic and research achievements and activities, monitoring indicators periodically, and preparing reports that help management in making decisions and developing the necessary plans to improve institutional performance.

Key Tasks & Core Services
Specialized academic and technical duties

Follow up on local, Arab and international university classifications related to the institution.
✓
Follow up on classification standards and indicators and requirements for participation in them.
✓
Collect, audit and update the data and indicators required for classifications.
✓
Coordinating with various departments and units to obtain data and documents.
✓
Preparing databases for academic and research indicators and achievements.
✓
Analyze the results of the classifications and identify strengths and areas that need improvement.
✓
Preparing periodic reports on the organization’s indicators and performance in classifications.
